IBC2023 2nd Place Winner Interview

I: How do you feel?

I:2位という結果になりましたが、今の気持ちを教えてください。

A: It felt like a year honestly, although we only had a competition for a few days. I really   

   learned a lot and I also met great people. So, I’m honored to have that opportunity to    

   express and develop my ideas. 

A:正直に言うと、大会はたった数日間だったものの、まるで1年間参加していたような感じ　がします。この大会を通して、本当にたくさんのことを学びましたし、素晴らしい人たち　にも出会えました。自分の考えを発表したり、突き詰めたりする機会を得られて嬉しく

　思います。

B: I’m kind of complicated. I was one of those who disagreed with her idea, but I’m happy

   with this result .

B:複雑な気持ちです。チームメイトの考えに一度反対したので（笑）。でもこのような結果

　になり嬉しいです。

I: Do you have any advice for the next participants?

I:今後IBCに参加する人たちに対して、何かアドバイスはありますか。

A: I think the best advice is to talk a lot, to have a nice, long conversation, and to just share 

   ideas. I think conversation is the most important.

A:1番は、たくさん話すことだと思います。お互いが納得できるまで時間をかけて話し合い

　意見を共有するべきです。とにかく会話することが最も重要ですね。

B: I know my English is not really good. I think we can use body language and other things, 

  also participants. So you speak at least 3 languages. You can try to communicate better. 

B:私は自分の英語にあまり自信がありません。ですが、ボディランゲージやその他の手段、

　英語が得意な参加者の力も借りてもいいと思います。つまり、私たちは3つの言語を

　話せるということです。より良いコミュニケーションを取れるように頑張ってください。

I: So, the next question is, have you encountered any difficulties while working as a group 

  and if you did, how did you solve it?

I:次の質問です。チームで活動する際に大変だったことはありますか。

　もしあったなら、どのように乗り越えたか教えてください。

A: I think there were a lot of difficulties while doing this project. Language and also

   personality. Although languages are different, I think ideas united us together.    

   Just cooperating and thinking ‘one for all’ made it better.

A:たくさんありました。言語もそうですし、それぞれの性格もありますからね（笑）。

　ただ、言語に壁があったとしても、共有している考えがあることで、団結することができ　ました。チーム全体のためと思って、協力することがこの結果につながったと思います。

I: So do you guys think that was a meaningful experience?

I:それでは、IBCに参加して良かったと思いますか。

ABC:Yes!!

ABC:はい！
